DUBUQUE, IA – On Friday, April 25, HODGE was proud to sponsor the Innovation Session for this year’s Dubuque Days of Caring, an event focused on empowering local nonprofits through collaboration and community support.
Hosted by The Innovation Lab, the session brought together volunteers from area businesses to help generate creative solutions to real-world opportunities for Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque — an organization selected by HODGE for its meaningful and lasting impact on local youth.
As a company deeply committed to community involvement, HODGE was honored to champion this opportunity, not only through sponsorship but by showing up with a team of passionate volunteers. Melissa Huekels, Dan Kennedy, Samantha Nerison, Steve Stodden, and Jess Demaria represented HODGE and joined other community members for a day of deep listening, brainstorming, and action planning.
Throughout the day, participants worked directly with Boys & Girls Club leaders to address three key areas of focus:
The event featured a rapid idea sessions, cross-functional collaboration, and final pitches delivered directly to Boys & Girls Club leaders. It was an energizing day filled with shared purpose and creativity — showcasing the power of business and community coming together.
“We were honored to support an organization that’s making a real difference in the lives of young people. The Boys & Girls Club plays a critical role in helping youth reach their full potential, and we’re proud to stand beside them.”
Jordan Fullan, Co-CEO at HODGE
Thank you to The Innovation Lab for leading such a dynamic session and to our HODGE volunteers for stepping up to help shape the future of an impactful nonprofit in Dubuque.
Together, we’re creating a stronger, more connected community.
